Shenzhen Growatt New Energy CO.,Ltd(known as Growatt) is dedicated in becoming the world class new energy solution provider, working to build an intellectual solar monitoring software. Growatt will provide remote monitoring for your plant through GroMinder.

Shenzhen Growatt New Energy Co., Ltd. respects your personal privacy rights. The purpose of this agreement is to explain how we collect, share and use your personal information and how you can exercise your privacy rights. If you have any questions or concerns about our use of your personal information, please contact us through the contact information shown at the bottom of this agreement.

Growatt will strictly comply with law and regulations, obey following privacy protecting principle to provide safer and more reliable service.

I.The information Growatt collect
1.1 The information you give to Growatt
1.1.1 Submitted information when you register.
The user name, email or mobile number would be only used for login verification, Growatt will encrypt your information for privacy policy.
1.1.2 Uploaded information when you use the service.
For example, when you upload your avatar during using GroMinder.

1.2 The information we obtained when you use Growatt service.
1.2.1 WiFi datalogger configuration log
When you use the WiFi datalogger to configure, we will collect your configuration logs, such as: the configured WiFi name, current configuration steps, country and the current APP version, so that we can troubleshoot the reasons for the failure of the WiFi datalogger, improve the success rate of WiFi datalogger configuration and network configuration experience.
1.2.2 Inverter Device Information
1.2.3 Device working data, self-consumption, electricity consumption data record
When you connect your PV inverter to the Smart Energy Service, we will collect the status of the inverter device, all types of voltage data, all types of current data, grid frequency, power data, fault data, temperature data, and operating hours. The device will upload meter related data such as: battery information, self-consumption and information. This is usually only used to show your power generation and consumption data to you, but this may involve recording your power consumption habits. And at the same time we may recommend some good electricity consumption habits and power saving methods to create higher economic benefits for you.
1.2.4 Location information
When you use the service, we will obtain your IP address, GPS geographic location information upon request and consent.(Not mandatory)
1.2.5 Others
When you use our APP, we also collect the IP address of your inverter device, the installation information of the third-party APP (e.g., payment and map APPs) that you jump to, and so on.

II. The personal data would be used for
Growatt will strictly comply local law and regulations and would use the collected information for following objectives, if Growatt will used it for other objectives, Growatt will explain for you and ask for permission.
- Provide you with equipment maintenance, commissioning and monitoring services.
- Fulfil your customized needs like : language setting, location setting and personal help service.
- Product development and service optimization. Like: when Growatt system is down, Growatt will record and analysis systemic error information and optimize Growatt service.
- Safety Guarantee: Growatt will use your information for authentication, safety precaution, anti-fraud detection, archive backup, client’s safety service and so on.
- Software management, like software certification, software updating and so on.
For better customer experience and better service improvement purpose or other usage with client’s acceptance, comply with local law, Growatt may use certain part of information for other Growatt service.
To ensure the service safety, help Growatt to get better understanding of GroMinder’s working status, Growatt may record certain information. Like: Growatt may record the frequency and the time you use GroMinder, error information and source of GroMinder. Growatt may de-identify your personal information for the purpose of analysis or analyze only statistical data.

III. How to manage your information by yourself
3.1 Right of access and updating/correction
You can access, modify and delete the registration information and other personal information you provide during the use of our services, or you can contact us by the notification guidelines. The scope and manner in which you access, modify, and delete personal information will depend on the specific services you use. Contact us freely for access to or correction of other personal information that you have generated in the course of using our products and/or services. Please note, however, that due to technical limitations or security concerns, some of your personal information is not yet available for us to access and update/correct.

3.2 Right of copy
You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal information. If you require a copy of your personal information that we have collected, you may contact us using the contact details set out in this Privacy Policy. We will provide you with a copy of your personal information upon request, subject to compliance with relevant legal requirements and technical feasibility.

3.3 Right of deletion
You have the right to ask us to delete your personal information if (a) we collected or used it in violation of laws or regulations; (b) we did not have a lawful basis for collecting your personal information or you withdraw your consent; (c) we collected or used your personal information in violation of our agreement with you; (d) you cancel your account; or (e) we no longer provide you with products or services.

3.4 Right of withdrawal
You can withdraw part of your authorization or all of your authorization to restrict/refuse our processing of your personal information by modifying your personal data, turning off some of the functions, logging out, etc. For example, if you wish to stop sharing your geo-location information when using geo-location related services, you can stop the sharing through the cell phone location disabling function, disabling by hardware and software service providers and communication service providers. When you withdraw your consent or cancel your authorization, we will not be able to continue to provide you with the services for which you have withdrawn your consent or canceled your authorization, and we will no longer process your corresponding personal information. However, your decision to withdraw your consent or authorization will not affect the processing of personal information previously carried out on the basis of your consent or authorization. After canceling your account, we will stop providing you with products or services and delete your personal information at your request and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. If we are required to collect, use or share your information under applicable laws and regulations, we may refuse your request to the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations. We have the right to adjust your above rights in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

3.5 Right to receive explanation
You have the right to ask for an explanation of our rules on the processing of personal information and you can do so by contacting us using the contact details set out in this policy.

3.6 Right to transfer personal information
You have the right to request us to transfer your personal information to a personal information processor designated by you, subject to the conditions set forth by the related governing authorities of information or internet. Where technical conditions permit, we will provide the means for the transfer to the personal information processor designated by you.

3.7 How we respond your requests
When you exercise your rights to your personal information as described above, we may ask you to authenticate your identity in order to protect the security of your account. Please understand that due to technical limitations, legal or regulatory requirements, we may not be able to fulfill all of your requests, and we will respond to your request within 15 business days. For your reasonable requests, we do not charge fees in principle, but for requests that are repeated many times and exceed reasonable limits, we will charge a certain cost depending on the circumstances. We may refuse requests that are unnecessarily repetitive, require excessive technical means (e.g., the development of a new system or a fundamental change in existing practices), pose a risk to the legal rights of others, or are highly impractical.

IV. How we share, transfer or reveal your personal information
4.1 Sharing
4.1.1 Sharing with third-party partners
With your permission in advance, Growatt may share your personal information with a third-party, such as Amazon and Google Audio. The voice broadcast and push service of power generation information will be pushed on the APP only after you enable authorization.
In order to achieve the purpose of operation and maintenance services, we may cooperate with third-party partners for the following purposes:
- Provide you with our service.
- Distributors/installers provide you with remote and offline operation and maintenance services through the platform;
- Achieve the purpose of the “How to manage your information” part.
- Comply with Growatt” Service agreement” or this policy’s obligations.
- Understand, maintain and improve our services. If we share your information with third parties, we will use encryption, anonymous processing, and other means to ensure your information security.
- Distributors and installers request to obtain the device data you purchased from them and build their own platform to realize the independent maintenance through API. We will protect your data as much as possible. All distributors and installers who obtain data from the platform are required to do only for operation and maintenance related purposes, and strictly comply with GDPR privacy management regulations, you can also contact Growatt to cancel this permission.

4.2 Entrustment
We may engage third-party service providers to help us provide related operational and service support, and transfer or authorize access to your Personal Information to them (including cloud service providers) for technical and other reasons.

4.3 Transfer
We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization or individual, except in the following circumstances:
1. transfer with explicit consent: after obtaining your explicit consent, we will transfer your personal information to other parties;
2. in case of merger, separation, dissolution or bankruptcy and liquidation involving the transfer of personal information, we will require the new company or organization holding your personal information to continue to be bound by this policy, or we will require the company or organization to ask for your authorized consent again. We will fulfill the corresponding notification and other obligations in accordance with the law.

Growatt may reveal your data for the following reasons:
1. After obtaining your consent;
2. Public disclosure based on law or reasonable basis: your information may be publicly disclosed when required by law, legal process, litigation, or by public and governmental authorities.

V. Growatt may send you message.
5.1 Information push
When you are using Growatt service, Growatt may send you email, text message, message and push notification.

5.2 Announcement with service
When necessary (like system maintenance to pause certain service) Growatt will send you announcement about service, you may not cancel this announcement.

VI. Terms and location of information storage.
6.1 location of information storage.
Growatt comply with law and regulations, all the domestic information would be stored in domestic area.

6.2 Terms of information storage.
Generally, Growatt keeps your information for shortest time. We will also retain your personal information legally in conjunction with the mandatory retention periods for personal information in laws and regulations. After the retention period has been exceeded, we will delete your personal information in accordance with the requirements of applicable laws.
When Growatt product or service terminated, Growatt will use like push announcement, pubic announcement to inform you and delete or cryptonym you personal information.

VII. Information security
Growatt will provide security to your information to avoid loss, improper using, unauthorized visiting or exposing it.
7.1 Growatt will comply with local law and regulations to protect your information.
7.2 Growatt will use various security protection methods within a reasonable security level to ensure the security of information. For example, we use encryption technology (for example, TLS, SSL, MD5), anonymization and other means to protect your personal information.
7.3 Growatt sets up special management system, procedures and organizations to protect your information. Like Growatt strictly narrow the authorized people, ask them to obey secrecy obligations and monitor them.
7.4 If there is any personal information disclosure cases Growatt will start emergency preplan and will inform you with push announcement or public announcement.

Please notice this policy is not fit for the service provided by other company or individuals. Like you login Growatt account to use other company or individual service.
If you use the third-party services, you should accept their privacy policy, so you need read carefully.

IX. How we handle personal information of minors
We take the protection of minors' personal information very seriously and we do not actively provide services to children under the age of 14. If you are a minor under the age of 14, you should obtain the prior consent of your guardian before using our products and/or services. We protect the personal information of minors in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations.
We do not collect personal information from minors directly. In the event that we collect personal information from a minor with the consent of the guardian, we will only use, share, transfer or disclose this information as permitted by law, with the consent of the guardian, or as necessary for the protection of the minor.
If it is proven that a minor has registered to use our products and/or services without the consent of a guardian, we will consult with the guardian and attempt to delete the personal information as soon as possible.

After verify your user identification Growatt will reply your question as soon as possible.

X. Regarding changes to the privacy agreement
We may revise the content of this policy in due course. If such changes will result in a substantial reduction of your rights under this policy, we will notify you by prompting in a prominent position on the page before the changes take effect. In this case, if you continue to use our services, you are deemed to have accepted the revised policy. For major revisions, we will also provide more noticeable notices (including for some services, we will notify you through website announcements to explain the specific changes to the privacy policy).
